About The Founder

Hey, Hey my name is Derek Canton and I am 19 years young­. I am an ambitious, hard working, college nerd who is very passionate about people. Growing up in a public school system, I quickly learned that being Christian was never, “The cool thing,” because everyone thought of it as just a set of rules telling you what not to do. And then, it seemed like all I heard on the TV and radio was about division and fighting within the church. I became a Christian at a young age, but I really struggled, because I never understood why the Church couldn’t stand ­together as One, under the Lord Jesus Christ I became obsessed with this mission. I strived to share the gospel of Jesus in an effective and relevant way: a message that God is Good and Christians, though part of local churches, should also know they are part of One Church and learn to work together.  As a student at Worcester State University, I have decided now to take my passion for people and the message of God is Good to a whole new level. Combining my love for Jesus and the Church, and utilizing all my nerd skills, I decided to start my own Christian business. On March 15^th 2012 I launched the G1G Facebook page that officially started G1G. Since the start of the God is Good movement the message of One God One Church has grown tremendously and has been reaching all over the world, from Africa to the UK and here in America. Join the movement of G1G and help promote unity in a divided world.
